The presentation offered Stevie the opportunity to discuss the growing partnership between the organisations and the outstanding success of our Highlands Training Academies.
A major part of the presentation was Stevie sharing his values and outlook on employment, life and personal growth.
Shirley Baker, the Inverness Jobcentre Manager, commented “I have to say for myself I could've easily sat and listened to you Stevie for a lot longer than the time we actually had. You certainly gave me a lot to think about in my own life and how to deal with certain situations presented. So a big thank you from me, I thoroughly enjoyed it."
Marena Jordan the Invergordon and Dingwall Jobcentre Manager added: “Really enjoyed Stevie’s presentation. Very inspirational and could have listened to him for much longer! In fact I'd love to be involved in his daily meetings with his team - would think it would set us up for the day!"
Alan MacGillivray, the Inverness Jobcentre Manager / Advisor Manager, has worked with KDS Training previously and said. “Was interesting to hear his stories, I'd worked with KDS on the first course they ran in Inverness and was already a fan of their methods as they were successful in delivering what they said they would and placed folk into work.”
Lorraine Lowrie, the Highland Operations Manager, concluded “I felt Stevie’s presentation was, in a word, fantastic!
The man is a true inspiration and his no fuss, straight talking approach made me stand up (I actually felt like doing it literally at some points) and listen from the second he opened his mouth. I was enthused by his story, it provoked a determination to succeed in a general capacity and not specific to work and it was worth the hour x 10 for that feeling alone!
He genuinely has compassion and empathy for all and an understanding of what the common problems are across Scotland, and probably the modern world today, are. It’s no wonder his success rate for sustainable employment is so high.
I look forward to working with Stevie in the future and i hope the presentation was only the start of a working relationship that sees us make a difference to the lives of our customer, and our staff!”
KDS Training has already completed 9 successful training courses since March 2008. In a breathtaking short spell KDS Training has expanded from the Renfrewshire area, into Ayrshire and the Highlands. Sectors covered include distribution and the care sector and we have also run an academy for youths.
A clear indicator of the success of KDS Training methods is that 66 long term unemployed have found employment since we began our academies.
