what has changed for me since being part of academy

What has changed for me, since being part of a KDS Academy?
The most notable thing that has changed, from my perspective is the fact I want to get up in the morning, let me explain.
Before being part of the Academy, i was unemployed for 18 months, been on so many courses, attended so many Back to Work interviews, applied for so many jobs, that it felt routine and going nowhere. That is until that day, when I arrived with so many people in the same boat and got introduced to Stevie Kidd, who, from that first initial handshake, showed so much passion and commitment that it put all the previous courses to shame, and showed me that not everyone counts me as just another number.
Every day now, has a new meaning, new direction and new goal. I have even stopped using, at that time my favourite word, Problem, and now use Challenge, because I know, if I don’t know the answer, one of my team mates, who I know are always at the end of the phone, will. That is another aspect that I was not use to before, in previous jobs, I would be left to figure something out by myself, and I do admit, it took a bit of getting used to, but now, I do not hesitate contacting someone if I need assistance.
Life isn’t completely rosy just yet, but at least it’s going in the right direction and with the help and support of all the people I am honoured to know and call friends, it will get there, and soon
