What a journey Renfrewshire Construction Academy
END OF WEEK 4 for the Renfrewshire Construction Academy “We Pay it Forward”
The week starts with a bang as Monday Morning we as a unit head straight to Milton of Campsie, we had already completed 3 out of 4 taster days covering Plastering, Small Plant and Asbestos Awareness. Today we were sitting our CSCS Test and even though the homework had been done the nerves where there as CSCS is crucial when you are focused on the construction sector.......
100% was the result and set the team up for a great final week of the Academy, Tuesday and Wednesday where no different, 2 days of PASMA Training and again 100%. The week of all weeks was jam pack with great results and not to put the pressure on Thursday was an Interview day. Interview being conducted by Brian (project manager for Scotland) for Wates Construction.
The team had done their homework for interviews as they had previously done when we first had a visit from Brian from Wates, we had sent emails introducing ourselves before his visit. (thinking outside the box).
The feedback from Brian was great to have not just for the reason that it was great but to give us a measurement of where we can improve.
Today being the final day we had Community day which is designed to give something back to the community again we took it a step further and painted Bernie’s Gym, Bernie is a guy that we have a relationship built with who takes each Academy to his gym for health and fitness, The day was tremendous and was a fitting end to a fantastic 4 weeks...............The journey for the team continues now but each have built themselves a path to take.
Team it has been a pleasure for me to be part of your life’s for 4 weeks and this is why i do this incredible job that i have got.
KDS Training is and always will be all about the people...................................

first construction course and what a journey, skill set you guys have is enormous which will stand you in good stead, well done and thanks for doing bernies gym
