Welcome Back Stevie

As we welcome Stevie back into the business today we learn about how he has been inspiring people even further whilst he has been in Brighton.

We have followed Stevie’s journey with Charlie and the other 6 homeless people that he worked with with much pride and admiration for our leader. Working day in day out with Stevie means that we get to see the changes that he evokes in people on a daily basis but to be able to document Charlie’s journey via social media and on our blogs has given the wider audience a chance to see how Stevie works and the impact he has on people.

Stevie not only worked with all of the homeless people on Brighton's sea front but also with the people he was training with and anyone else that he came into contact with! Stevie's passion is people; helping them to develop into more than they thought they could be.

Stevie was given a card by someone that he worked with with a message which read:

“you give the gift of yourself to those who have fallen so low that even hope fails them; you have shown me the door to my passion and motivation and I will always be grateful"

This is a poignant message because the work that Stevie does and the ways in which he helps people is very difficult to measure – how can you put a value on giving someone the tools to be able to go on and achieve their dreams and things previously thought as unachievable. Or how can you measure what it means to someone to be able to live a much improved quality of life due to them being able to get over a traumatic incident that was holding them back from achieving all that they can be in life.

The work Stevie does is humbling and I’m sure you’ll agree that the picture below of Charlie, a man living on the streets and unable to make eye contact with anothet human being under 2 weeks ago , says it all.
