Utterly Brilliant

Our Rollercoaster of a journey started off apprehensively for most of us as we didn’t know each other or what the Academy was going to be like! After the Mind over Matter day we all clicked as a group and our confidence grew! Mind over Matter day pushed us to our limits and was fun, energetic and interactive (some of us may have said exhausting – but we mean that in a good way!). As the days passed we learned lots about ourselves and about First Aid, Food Hygiene, Adult abuse, health and Safety, The Role of a Care Worker, Fire Warden and much, much more!! Buddy day was great and we were able to put what we had learned into practice, we all loved this day and saw the practical aspects of the job held! This helped us with our interviews and after all the confidence building we were in a much better place!

There has been a lot to take in over the last four weeks and at times we may have been nervous but we all feel great to have made it to the end, we all agree there are big differences and changes in all of us and that we are all looking forward to our bright future! It has been UTTERLY BRILLIANT!!!
