The rise of the Skillionaire!
The “Skillionaires Club” published earlier this year, lists 100 people who have made themselves a fortune without a University Degree, which more and more people see as the only way forward in achieving success. Members of this club have made their fortunes from learning a skill or trade through an apprenticeship or Vocational College or Training courses.
In a year where more and more candidates are being turned away from University or choosing not to go due to the rising costs, perhaps the time is right to encourage more learners and employers to discover the benefits of Vocational Training and work based courses against encouraging learners to tie themselves into a degree and student debt. Industry leaders in Construction, Hospitality and Catering, Retail and Customer Service, to name a few areas, all agree that they benefited from this type of training and that if you learn a trade you will rarely be out of work.
These findings are not a surprise to us at KDS. We have been delivering successful Vocational Training Academies in various sectors for several years and the demand for our new ILA funded KDS Works courses proves that our winning and innovative formula is hitting the mark again!
Watch out for future “Skillionaires Club” lists to see how many were trained by KDS!

I would be the first to admit that prior to joining KDS, I was certain that University was something I had to do to succeed - now I can see just how important it is to get experience in a working environment. Would definitely recommend our KDS Works courses
for those who want some experience in specific sectors!
