The Recruit finale!

What an exciting final day in the Recruit Challenge at KDS! Fuelled by passion and the determination to win there was a lot of health competition between the five groups who all had their eye on the top spot! Teamwork and communication was at a maximum as all teams strived to achieve the grade above excellence in this unique challenge to create a potential new biscuit for Border Biscuits!!

Tension rippled around the room as the presentations were made to the Judging Panel (Stephen Beer, Andrew Craig, Stevie Kidd) The judges came to a decision on who the final two teams into the Creative Boardroom would be! DOXA and Innovation were the chosen teams and the excitement was palpable!

Both teams were in heated discussion in the boardroom in front of the judges and the rest of the candidates watched nervously through a video link up in the other room! The gloves were off and all that they had learned came into play! The winner was decided team DOXA with their innovative biscuit aimed at children with a new healthy slant! Innovation and their new fruitini dipping biscuits, in a whole new packaging, were worthy runners up!

One judge commented "I found it a very satisfying experience to see so much creativity, determination and organisation from a group of talented young people"

A resounding success for all concerned!

A big thank you to everyone at KDS for organising an excellent challenge in conjunction with Border Biscuits. The Recruits really engaged with this one and took on board all the advice the mentors had to offer. Darren and I saw some people really start to believe in themselves today. It was a pleasure.

Just like to Add to Carole''s comments by also thanking KDS for all the hard work of organising the event over the last two days by Kate and the team. The young people involved in the recruit were yet again a real credit to Renfrewshire and im sure they will put all the motivational and comunication techniques to great use. Kate and Steve thanks again and i will send e mail shortly re pictures etc.
