Stevie Mentors Local Business Leaders

This morning was the second of Stevie’s mentoring sessions with a group of local business leaders.

The topic of this morning’s session was ‘Dealing with Stress in the Workplace’. This topic is one that the group absolutely related to either from a personal point of view or from a management perspective.

Stevie explored with the group the reasons that stress occurs, whether it be due to time management or organisation of their own time or perhaps even other members of the team who don’t deliver, thus causing stress at a higher level.

Stevie spoke about his own agenda and how he manages to achieve what he does in a day. This inspired the group and ensured that they took onboard all of the techniques and strategies that Stevie advised.

The sessions were evaluated and rated by the group and the results were phenomenal! They were asked to rate the sessions on various headings including the trainers’ knowledge of the subject, the relevance to their position and whether the sessions lived up to expectations – each section was rated with the highest possible score by everyone.

When asked what they would take away from the sessions the responses included forward thinking, better planning, evaluating and monitoring staff performances, investing in training for staff and management and one response stated that there were just too many to mention!

The topic of the next session will be ‘Building Unstoppable Teams’. This is an area that Stevie is highly qualified to talk about as the team that he has built up within his own business makes people stop and wonder – how does he do that and how do I get a job there?!
