Stevie Kidd NLP: Happiness - A New Challenge!

a new challenge

Did you know that the first Tuesday when everyone is back at work in January is the day when most people decide they are not happy in their work and want a new challenge? The beginning of the year is undoubtedly when people most look at the subject of "Happiness" - are they happy in their personal life (first working day of January is the busiest for Lawyers with new divorce cases!) in their professional lives, with their circle of friends, with their body, their health or their habits!

So, are you happy with the life you are living at the moment? Really and truly happy?

Why not make being happy your first challenge for 2012?

Happiness, like a muscle we haven't regularly used or never new we had, is something we need to work on, recognise and know how to hold on to!! Happiness, like muscle tone, is completely in your control! (I will give you a minute to process that - COMPLETELY IN YOUR CONTROL!) and into the bargain you will be meeting your goals too!

What is your goal or dream which totally inspires you? VISUALISE it how will you feel when you achieve it, what will you see, what will you hear, what success symbol will you buy yourself to remind you of that success? How will you feel when you look at it and re-live the feelings of that moment when you achieved your goal? (if this is your first time trying visualising a situation try somewhere quiet, with your eye's closed to keep the distractions to a minimum! with practice you will be able to do this any time, any where!)

Focusing on that vision and using your energy to achieve it will keep it at the front of your mind AND all of the positive, energising and happy feelings which are associated with this are also at the front of your mind! These feelings - Happiness! A spiral begins to happen - the more you feel it, the more you work towards it, the more energised you become, the closer you get to achieving the goal the more powerful it becomes! YOU ARE KEEPING THE FEELING!

Everyone finds different ways of keeping the goal at the forefront of their mind - a mantra every morning, a post-it on the bathroom mirror, a success symbol, the wallpaper on the laptop, the picture you have on your phone, a picture on the table or on the wall! Whatever trick you use to keep you focused on the goal will keep you focused on the feelings!

Now you have a plan, go and put it into action! Rise to the challenge of a very happy, and achieving, 2012!

Great words. Many people put off being happy as they think it will arrive when they have the perfect job, the perfect house, the perfect family, the perfect car or the perfect partner. But simply being happy in the present time has one advantage over every other—it is our own. Past opportunities are gone, future have not come. Starting the day by finding at least 10 things you are currently happy about and grateful for is a good way of strengthening that happiness muscle!

Close your eyes , imagine you are in bed and its almost time for the alarm to go off, Be conconcious of what you are saying to yourself, are you lying with your head under the covers, what do you feel at the dawn of a new day . What if ....you cant wait to get up ? instead of the dread you felt at the thought of new day at work rest or play, you feel exitement, butterflies and an increasing feeling of anticipation that something great is going to happen today , tomorrow and for the rest of your life ..... Can you imaigine it ? I dont have to because since completing my NLP business pprac course, i feel this way every single day . The Road to greatness starts within you, Count your blessings, Cherish your Potential Appreciate the beauty and opportunities every day brings Tomorrow is yours to create, celebrate each step along the way Expect Great Things as they will be yours some day k This is not a dress rehearsal go get it !

On the subject of happiness, anyone attending your course will learn how to magnify bright positive warm happy zingy feelings and sustain them, or recreate them in an instant..its amazing, :) Another benefit being no other person can control this or affect it. A genuine happiness that radiates from within, and is without dependance. Canny beat it ! :)

I have visualised things in the past, but perhaps I let the visualisations slip away or didn''t know how to reinforce the visualisations. The first instance I had of feeling my visualisation as well as seeing it was during Stevie''s NLP course. I did an exercise with another 2 members of the group which involved me going through the steps of how to get to my desired outcome, which in this case was to re-train to change and further my career. I can still remember vivdly how I went through the steps to get to my goal and how I felt when I got there. I have a meeting set up for next week to find out more about my options going forward, which will start the ball rolling for me to achieve what I want. The thing that''s driving me is the feeling that I had during the exercise that is going to be the exact same as the feeling I''ll have once I''ve achieved what I set out to. I plan to set time aside at least once a week to revisit my visualisation and keep the feeling fresh in my head as I move forward through the steps to get where I want to be...

Visualization of future success is one of the most powerful tools I gained during my NLP training. I have already used it to improve my quality of life. If you asked me prior to my training if i felt it was something which i could use to achieve a goal, I would have been scepticle, however now I have made it work (with a little help from one of my fellow students!) and reaped the rewards. Set aside some time and try it, you have nothing to lose and endless potential to realize!

To comment on this blog post for me is naturally an easy thing to do. I took part in Stevie''s last NLP course along with Michael and the support given to help me to analyze my life and where i wanted to change certain patterns was absolutly superb and done in a way that was effortless. I now can get things done much quicker realising my full potential every day. So my advice is make it happen for you!.
