Stevie Kidd Defines "Excellence"

“Excellence – the quality of being outstanding or extremely good”

“To always aim for the grade above excellence”

This is the motto of our organisation, but what does it mean in real terms?

Stevie is the first to admit that he’s not always an easy guy to work for and I’m sure he won’t mind me saying that this is especially true when he is out of the business. He has exemplary standards, for which he makes no apologies, and why should he?

The culture that Stevie has created is without doubt the fastest, most dynamic, forward-thinking environment that you will ever come across. The results we achieve day in and day out are remarkable and the tangible differences we make to people’s lives are colossal.
Working in this environment is amazing and we’ve written loads of material on all of the reasons why this is so but it can also be tough going.

It takes a certain type of person to thrive in this culture (that is partly why the interview process is completely unique!) When Stevie sees certain qualities in someone he will go all out to support and coach them through their KDS journey but in his own words “you can take a horse to water but you can’t make it drink”

As a KDS employee you really do feel like a member of an exclusive club! Your colleagues inspire you every day and you have complete trust and faith in your Managing Director who leads the company with a unique, passionate and unfaltering attitude with the next success as his motivation.

it certainly does feel like you are part of an exclusive club and it is rare to work with a team who support you so wholeheartedly in everything that you do - challenges and successes!! K

It''s not just within the organisation that he strives for the grade above excellence. I might be a bit different in that I have been through the interview process and didn''t end up working for KDS (for the moment!), but the experience has definitely had a major impact on how I look at things, the limits I used to place on myself. Now I have a whole team of people within KDS I know I can call on for support and have done already, I have the number of the Managing Director who I can and have called at 10pm and spoke for 30 minutes about my plans for the future. Even though I''m not employed by KDS, I can honestly say that I feel part of the company. Stuff like this just doesn''t exist anywhere else. This is what I think is the grade above excellence - it''s not just people in a job, working for a company. These guys will move mountains for you or at the very least, give you the tools, the confidence, the belief that you can move them for yourself. Just did a quick search and found this from a website: ....and with a face creased with lines from a thousand smiles he asks, “What could be better than excellence?” Before anyone can answer he answers his own question. “Better than excellence,” he proclaims, “is relationship.” I think I''ll stop writing now.

When you work for somebody striving for the grade above excellence you are certainly kept on your toes. Example: Stevie I''ve just secured a strong new parthership with a global brand... SK responds: ''fantastic - but what''s next?!'' That''s the difference - thinking 6-months ahead at all times
