Stevie Inspires Youth

Yesterday was the first day on the KDS Training Youth Academy. 

This is a 16 week programme working with 16 – 18 year olds who have left the education system and who are unemployed. The aim of the project is to work with the young people and support them into a positive destination.

Stevie delivered a high energy and inspirational day on the academy. As always his style revolved around him sharing stories about his own experiences, these always have subliminal messages and there’s so much for the group to take from them and from Stevie’s whole attitude.

The feedback from everyone was brilliant and the most poignant thing to come out of the day was that the group felt like they had been treated like adults and with complete respect.

Kate Sutherland, Trainer with KDS Group said: “Stevie’s input was really valuable to the group and as I observed I could see ‘lightbulb’ moments happening all over the room as he spoke! He connected brilliantly with the group and was able to engage them and keep them interested. When asked the group could recite everything that Stevie had spoken about and they could see that this was real opportunity for them to make changes in their lives – thank you Stevie!”
