Stevie Hammers Home the Message on the Construction Academy Open Day
This morning Stevie delivered to an audience of 27 unemployed individuals as part of his contract with KDS Training. The group were there on the Open Day of another new chapter for KDS Training – the first ever Construction Training Academy.
There was a sense of anticipation in the room before Stevie took to the stage as many of the guys had heard of Stevie from previous KDS candidates. The momentum is really building up around the work that Stevie does and we have many people looking to get the help and skills they need to be supported into employment.
Stevie delivered an intensely motivational hour which focussed on passion, desire and hunger and was compounded by the clip ‘My passion for sport’ which can be viewed by visiting http://www.steviekidd.co.uk/sport/my-passion-for-sport/
This really hammered the message home to the individuals with many of them asking ‘Why can’t I achieve that?’ Following the session the training team were flooded with positive feedback saying that the session had really made an impact and in particular Stevie’s comments on strategy had made them review how they were doing things.
Not all of the 27 candidates will be successful in securing a place on the academy for those who made the best impression with the team today they are about to embark on a life changing journey.
Tommy Gray, KDS Trainer said: “After the interview stage the feedback from the future academy candidates was extremely positive with the words outstanding and inspirational used to describe the session. Engagement levels were extremely high with the whole audience hooked!”
