With only 303 days (at the time of writing) until the London 2012 Olympics, Lloyds Torchbearer nomination campaign has now closed and thousands of nominations were submitted for people who have made a difference in their communities across the UK! We were incredibly honoured and privileged when Mark’s nomination was announced and his story posted on the site for all to share in his great achievements!
Can you imagine then our feelings when Stevie’s nomination to carry the Olympic Flame in the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay came through? Stevie was totally humbled by this great honour and wanted to keep it quiet, but in true Stevie Kidd People and KDS style we were not prepared to allow that to happen!
Here’s what it says in his nomination:-
“STEPHEN’S STORY
Stevie Kidd is a successful businessman who gives a huge amount back to his community and beyond. Within business Stevie's company makes a difference to thousands of people’s lives. A specialist employability company which takes a unique and holistic approach to working with people, examining their barriers first and dealing with them before looking at helping them to gain employment.
Behind the work within employability Stevie has many philanthropic interests; as an expert in human behaviour and with a gift for being able to help people, he never switches off. This means that over the years he has helped thousands of people from all walks of life – homeless, disadvantaged, those with learning challenges, individuals with Down’s Syndrome and Asperger’s Syndrome and many people within business. He is passionate about developing young people and has help many on the road to success.”

It really does seem that both Mark and Stevie are fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement and are not afraid to show the magic inside of them to inspire other people to go on and achieve great things!
