Sterling Stuff from Stirling Academy

Stirling Care Academy came to a conclusion on Friday afternoon. Tremendously successfully academy for both KDS Training and the candidates. Our goal is to find full time sustainable employment and that is what we have done. The challenge is the scepticism from candidates and telling them on day one that although 4 weeks is a short period of time and the aim is to secure employment by the end of the 4 weeks - the reward is seeing the belief in the candidate’s eyes when this is achieved.

The outcomes for this academy were outstanding with 70% of candidates achieving permanent contracts with the other 30% pending. Our candidates made a huge impression on Meallmore Care – they were highly impressed by KDS candidate’s preparation for interview, knowledge of the sector and enthusiasm towards working in the care sector. KDS are grateful to local employers who visited and took time to share their stories and knowledge on the care sector with the academy.
Strangers came together on this training course on day one... by day 20 lifelong friends had been made and over the duration of the academy many experiences and emotions were shared. Life strategies were formed after the visit from Managing Director, Stevie Kidd who left them with the knowledge that life is in their hands and they have the power to make choices however from now on their choices will be positive choices...

The trainers are grateful to the candidates because it them who make this academy experience happen...
