Stephen's Feedback On Another Day With KDS

Today my day with KDS started at 06.45 am. Stevie Hunter picked me up from home and we travelled through to Edinburgh. We were going to Edinburgh because a new training academy was starting. On the way to Edinburgh, Stevie told me a bit about himself and his history.

We arrived in Edinburgh about 8.30 am. Roger and Tommy had already set up the office ready for the 9am start, so Stevie and I introduced ourselves to the candidates. This was interesting as I was able to talk to people from a wide range of backgrounds. After this, Roger started the day off with an outline of what the candidates can expect and during this he explained the rules that the candidates have to adhere to and he also explained how he was unemployed for 12 months and said it was the worst time of his life. Before we stopped for a short break, Roger said “Minds are like parachutes, they work best when they are open”. After the break there was paperwork to be filled out but Stevie and I had to leave to return to KDS.

Once I returned from lunch I had to do a job search as Stevie needed to find jobs for the recent Fife Academy. This was a good task for me as it allowed me to work independently. After this, Stevie Hunter told me Stevie Kidd was going to mentor him so I had to prepare for that.

After this I interviewed Stevie Hunter and this was really interesting as I learned a lot from him having spent the full day with him. I asked him questions about what his values and beliefs are and what it is that motivated him. His biggest success was the same as every other person which was seeing his children being born.

Today has been a brilliant day, l’ve learned a lot from today and it has been a success so thanks to Stevie Kidd and Stevie Hunter for allowing me to have this opportunity.

It was a pleasure having you in the office yesterday Stephen, it was evident that you had taken a lot from shadowing successful businesspeople from the way you conducted yourself yesterday.
