Stephen Tells Us About Reaching His Positive Destination!

It’s only been 19 days since I started at KDS but it has played a major part in helping me into a positive destination. I have always wanted to study accounting but I was unsure what I needed to do to get into the accountancy course at college when I started here.

I was hoping to make a success out of this opportunity. During my first month Stevie mainly focused on my senses and awareness because you need to be aware of your surroundings to make sure you don’t miss any opportunities. Stevie has also mentored me on lots of other topics including being pro-active. An example of me being pro-active was when I had to visit the college to see if they received my application form because they hadn’t contacted me yet. By visiting the college, I was making a good first impression, showing that I was enthusiastic about getting a place in the course I wanted to do.

I have also shadowed directors from other companies Stevie Kidd has relationships with. When I was with these directors I got to interview them and this was interesting because I like learning from successful people. I took everything they said on board and I have learned new strategies to be successful.

I have had an amazing experience at KDS and I am very grateful to Stevie Kidd for allowing me to have these opportunities as these stood me in good stead for my college interview. There was a meaning behind everything I have learned and these have been beneficial to me to help me reach the positive destination and it has proved successful because I got my place in college!

Hi Stephen the journey so far has been incredible but the reason behind your success is the fact that you are actioning all of the strategies immediately and preparation is key also. well done so far always good to hear how you keep achieving your goals.

Great example of what can happen when you choose to open doors that others have shown you. Seeing opportunities and acting on them is a great skill to have Stephen. Wait till you get into college - opportunities galore!
