Stephen Inspires Seasonal Gardener Academies
Today saw the start of the long anticipated Seasonal Gardner Academies. For those attending the course, the journey of self discovery and motivation was only just beginning but for an already established member of the KDS team, Stephen, it was a chance to share some words of encouragement. This is what Stephen had to say...
"When Stevie was mentoring me today we spoke about decision making and how feelings affect us when making decisions. One of my tasks today was to produce a "Who Am I?" speech in front of about 50 people at the Seasonal Gardeners Academy. I felt really confident about it and I felt as if I had an improved posture. During this, I spoke about how I got the opportunity to work with Stevie and the opportunities I have gained from it. It was me who wanted the work experience so I took the decision to contact Stevie Kidd and ask for work experience. Next week I will be with A4E and I will be shadowing Gerry Croall , the National UK Director. I am really looking forward to this as it is a massive opportunity and I am optimistic about it."

Stephen has definetly developed his presentation skills to an even higher standard than before, especially as I had worked with him in the Recruit before his KDS journey began and can therefore see how well he is improving. He is becoming a much more confident
individual and I am very excited to see what''s in store for him in 2011. Well done Stephen!

Fantastic! What an amazing achievement Stephen. I''ve been trying to think what I would have been like if I had been asked to stand up and talk to 50 strangers at 17 years old and several words came to mind, not many were positive!! Brilliant to watch this
transformation in you and thank you for letting us share your experiences. Is this perhaps the first pebble on the mountains you''re going to be moving? Looking forward to the next boulder - onwards and upwards. Respect!
