Sarahjane - Last Week with KDS
As we embark upon Sarahjane’s last week there is a sense of sadness in the office. Sarahjane was the winner of the 2010 Recruit programme, her prize being a 12 month contract with KDS. Lynsey MacKay was also successful in securing a employment with us.
If you follow our blogs you will know that SJ leaves us at the end of the week, she is going on a charity mission to teach in an African school. We have followed Sarahjane and Lynsey’s journey since they started with us 12 months ago, they have inspired and motivated people all over the world and this morning Sarahjane received a good luck message from Darran Hughes in Toronto.
It was a heartfelt and therefore lengthy message but we wanted to share some of it with you, here are a few extracts:
“While I know that Stevie has been a huge catalyst in your progress, never forget that it was YOU who took the action. Thought, even ambition, without action is no more than a dream. You chose the actions you took Sarah-jane, and be proud of that. Stevie is an incredible role-model, and has an incredible gift and skill in revealing to people the possibilities in life when they let go of the stories they tell themselves about who they are not, or what they can't do!”
“Now what I have said is more than flattery, it is fact, but remember this always... you are also human. You may make mistakes, but that is where the greatest lessons are learnt. By the very nature of being you, you may have thoughts and doubts, but don’t forget that is all they are. Do not fear the feelings, they are gifts to tell you any thoughts of insecurity are inaccurate. We never feel our circumstances, only our thoughts on those circumstances, and those thoughts cannot harm us, they are nothing more than images and sounds that bubble up in our mind and as with all bubbles... pop when you prick them with the truth.”
“Above all, have humility, trust and compassion in all you do, for it is that which great relationships are built on, and success is ALL about relationships. Success cannot exist in isolation!”
Thank you Darran, I know that SJ will take your kind words and advice to heart.

It''s been a wonderful experience to see SJ grow and develop her ability since joining. Stevie Kidd has invested a huge amount of time in this project and she will leave a very unique gap in the team. SJ, all the very best as you step out into the future.

The email Darran sent me yesterday was really moving, he has never met me though told me had so much faith in me. It just goes to show how much support I''ve received through this past year - it''s not just been limited to a job, but a year which has really
helped me prepare for the future!

What an excellent message to have as you embark on the next chapter of the book that you''ll most likely write about your journey in life. (I''ll be there at the book signing!) I''m very glad I''ve had the opportunity to meet you and (briefly) work alongside
you and have always found you and Lynsey to be very motivational and inspirational. As someone who''s been following your journey via the excellent videos and blogs, I hope you''ll be updating us all with your progress in Africa and always with that lovely
big smile of yours! All the best for your next adventure, Joe xx
