Salute the past, toast to the future!

Look At Life Through The Windscreen, Not The Rear-View Mirror! BUT there are times when it is good to reflect upon the past, to take stock of the achievements & memorable moments and be thankful for those events and the people who have been with us at these times – exactly what we should do before New Year! Before looking forward to the next stage of the journey.
It hasn’t been easy to choose the highlights of this wonderful year, but it was a lot of fun as we looked back over a year:
• The hugely successful Season Gardeners Academies which saw 40 individuals re-enter employment!
• Ali G overcome her own battle with cancer and return to work to take training by storm!
• Training moved into new areas, one of which being Aberdeen where we ran some highly successful transitions Academies changing lives and moving people into employment! Opening up many new opportunities to work with exciting partners in many new areas and continuing our campaign to ensure that young people with learning difficulties have access to excellent training and work experience opportunities!
• Which leads nicely into Marks Kitchen! Those of you who have followed us this year will be up to speed the brilliant work which Mark has done with us, including achieving one of his dreams of cooking a meal for his family in a professional kitchen!
• We undertake some ground breaking work with two families – supporting them to achieve their individual and family goals, pay attention to their communication and family dynamic and achieve a happier, tighter family unit for both families who were finding it tough to make changes and get out of their ruts!
• The consultancy side of the business has gone from strength to strength especially within the hospitality sector, with the hotel chain making great changes, increasing profits and having a more motivated, focused management and staff team!
• On the back of this came one of our most unique ideas of the year which is leading us to a revolutionary new training structure for young people still at school who will be entering employment within the hospitality industry!
• Speaking of young people all of the young people who have come into do work experience, receive mentoring, worked with the company through the recruit have flourished! Sarah Jane and Lynsey have spread their wings and flown (literally!) with SJ teaching in Africa and Lynsey working in a ski resort in Italy! Stephen McDonald, who you will is on the Autistic spectrum, has overcome his barriers and is doing brilliantly well on his college course well on the way to a successful career in Accountancy! Ross who came from the innovative and successful youth Academy joined us as part of our Admin team!
• The year finished with an explosive SK People NLP 8 day Business Practitioner Event! where executives and managers from many large companies such as RBS, Border Biscuits, Royal Mail and Fed Ex successfully completed the course and have since gone onto implement major changes in their personal lives and workplaces!
Just some of the highlights of an outstanding year! We would like to thank everyone of you who has helped to make this possible!
Looking forward to 2012 – an all new website going live in January, at least 2 more NLP events before March and a few exciting surprises for you along the way! So all that’s left to do is raise a glass to a phenomenal 2012!
