Road Safety Vehicles
Day in Day out the Road Safety Team at KDS Group take their role very serious and are passionate about making the whole country aware of the dangers that are on our roads every day.
We at KDS have a team of 5 drivers who have taken on the responsibility of driving our road safety vehicles each of their working day, they then through structured meetings and reports give feedback during that week. This would include any comments made to them, any queries as what the vehicles stand for and what reaction they get from other road users. I will start sharing their reports and experiences each week, Also the team come back each week with photographs of their journey which can be seen in the gallery.

Has their been any reaction from other road users/pedestrians: I had quite a few stares from members of the public this week, but one couple who asked if i was related to Toby, I said that i wasn't but my company KDS and myself are proud to be sponsors of Brake Road Safety charity and to raise awareness each day on the roads. Thev couple thought i had a personal reason for having Toby on the side of my van and stated that they were pleased to see a company raising awarreness for such a good cause without benefiting themselves. I also asked them to look at the selby crash side of the van and they both agreed that the story rang a bell. I thanked the couple for their time and asked them to log on to our website to sign the road safety petition.
Has their been any other reactions: Yes on Wednesday i was outside carehome when a large convoy of taxis came passing by they were tooting their horns and waving, The police had switched the lights off so as the taxis could all stay together. I stood waving as the taxis passed many of themdecorated when banners and streamers, i realised that it was the annual trip to Troon where the taxi drivers take disabled children out for the day it was wonderful, a thought crossed my mind wouldn't it be great if we done something for the kids to maybe supported the drivers by taking refreshments down this would enable everyone to raise more awareness by gaining some media attention........
How has the reaction been this week: It is always very positive
