Retail Academy - Week 3

This week the Retail Academy covered a whole variety of content, including store Layout, consumer buying behaviour, merchandising and unique approach to customer service. Additionally they all conducted store visits to develop their understanding changing theory into reality, and finished the week with Mystery Shopping different retailers - wonder who will come out on top??

It's been a great week building upon all their existing skills and new learnings. With 25 interviews attended, three work placements with potential jobs confirmed, and a further three work experience placements confirmed - next week is looking like a fantastic end to the Academy!

*****STOP PRESS!!!! Just as we were about to blog this, we've heard that Fiona got a call from an employer she met with this week - SHE GOT THE JOB!!!

It has certainly been a busy week, with all those interviews attended it will only be a matter of time before you are all in employment! Well done to you and to Roger and Robb on another great week! K

Yes well done Fiona :) . Just a little up date for you all to . So far Mark and Cheryl have been call back from employer and they both have got the job too. So well done too you both. And i think I have got a position aswell not heard back from employer but a little bird told me I am going to be offered a supervisor position aswell, So on that note i would like to say a big big thanks to everyone at KDS, These 4 week have made such a change in me and I no i still have a long way to go but our visit for Steve Kidd and Rogers teachin Have opened my eye''s to a few things. Its been great. Thanks Dee x

Well done to everyone for getting closer to where you want to be. Roger - you should have Harry Potter glasses and a wand, ''cos you keep working the magic. Can''t wait for next weeks update. Shine on! (Or should I say "Lumos!" ?)
