Positive Transitions in Edinburgh
These are the words of our current Edinburgh Academy
Week One
When A4E told us about the course, we were nervous, anxious as to what was involved and what the course would be like, what to expect and what the outcome would be.
However, on the first day when we all arrived, initially we felt nervous at meeting new people including Roger the Trainer. As the day went on, everyone relaxed, it was friendly and Roger explained what was going to happen and what was expected of us. He also explained his colleague Rob would support us finding actual jobs and interviews!
Week one has given us a new injection of confidence to face the job market with new knowledge and information on how to make an impact and secure a job. We have also felt enlightened with new skills and techniques in order to be more self confident with oneself. It’s been great meeting people from different & varied social backgrounds.
Now it’s come to the end of the first week, we feel confident, relaxed in the knowledge that a positive outcome is achievable. We’re looking forward to next week with Monday & Tuesday covering interview techniques to further improve job opportunities. We’re sure to leave next week with an even more positive mental attitude.

possitive transition it was great it gave me the confidence boost that i realy needed. After being made redundant.and facing the frustrations and anger of unemployment. Ijust wish the candidates had a chouce of going to it or not.KDS/A4E can i suggest, that
you have an explanetry leaflet for candidates to read which would help the adviser to get people on to it that wanted on to it.

Great feedback guys - a terrific group for this academy. At the end of week one we already have 2 delegates out for interview and more in the pipeline...I believe there are no less than 6 interviews in all - this is a testament to how employable these guys
really are. Its been a real pleasure working with every single one of them this week and I hope that by the end of week 2 we will have not only positive transitions in terms of self development but also transitions into actual employments... Lets do it!!!
