New beginnings all round

Well before Day 1 of the Academy 33 of KDS Training, I was already preparing myself for the start of this incredible journey...how did I feel about this new beginning, how would I approach this.
 

If you had asked me this question 5 years ago I would not have been able to answer with words, instead it would have been actions filled with eagerness of wanting to do well as this was my opportunity for full time employment and to get myself back on my feet, as i had as we say been going through some hard times.
 

Starting of a new journey again five years on...But this time i had a whole new outlook on life an outlook that had manifested through personally developing me and being mentored by Stevie Kidd within KDS Distribution, going from driver to eventually having the grand title of Head of the Department.

All the eagerness and commitment had paid off as i was now in a position where i would have the opportunity to share all of my experiences throughout my time in distribution and my years of life experience as i am a great believer that people connect when the link is there that there is someone there that understands where we are and what we are going through.
 

When i looked at the planner for the 4 weeks of this Academy and started creating an understanding of not just what i was going to be delivering, the easier part for me was that i could link the units together with personal challenges that people have and start to see the bigger picture, because everything is linked to feelings whether they be the lack of confidence, being nervous, or even fear.
 

My Academy started and i started getting a new feeling one that made me feel the same way i could imagine that a child feels when they eat a whole packet of smarties, what a buzz at the end of each day knowing that i am part of something that changes peoples life’s and it’s only the end of Week 1.

Who are these guys I will tell you who WE ARE, we are Team 33 of the seasonal gardener’s course and we are doing what i did 5 years ago we have hit the road running with massive amounts of eagerness to learn and a massive amount of commitment.....so as we have all heard numerous times this week LETS DO THIS !!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for not coming on here sooner Tommy to read and give feedback but I got to say that so far it''s been great being in your team loved it and I know I will continue to learn more as the course goes on. time just seems to be flying in always happens when having fun. you present your subjects that we need to learn for the course very well far superior to some college teachers and and high school ones that I have had in the past. hope this helps :)

What a feeling that must be Tommy. Sounds like one of those moments in life that get added to the "With you for life" folder in your head. Looking forward to reading about your next one. Rock on matey!
