Negative outlook at Road Safety message
Driver: ALAN DUNN
Route: Glasgow
Vehicle: SD10 ACX Story: SLEEP APNOEA

Has there been any reaction regarding the van from anyone either;
Parked on Great Western Terrace at a care home, I was approached by their handy man that had been out driving their mini bus.
He had what I felt was a terrible attitude, as he read the van. He asked me what the Selby story was all about. I explained that it had been a driver who fell asleep at the wheel & I told him about sleep apnoea. His reply was that he & everybody knew about Selby & there was no point to it being on the van.
I then went on to explain that our company had other vans telling true stories of tragedies that occurred on our roads & that we hoped to raise awareness & promote road safety which in turn could stop the carnage on our roads. He continued to repeat that there was no point to having any of this on our vans. This has been my first experience of negative feedback since driving for the company & I have driven all of the road safety vans. To say I was dismayed & appalled by his attitude was an understatement.
