My second day as Stevie Kidd's Executive Assistant

This morning started off fantastically, Stevie and I had discussed what I would be prioritising and what projects he needed me to be working on. I made a start and it was really great to be sitting amongst my new colleagues discussing what I was going to be working on and vice versa. It is amazing that everyone takes the time to tell you what they are doing that day as it means that you get a real feel for KDS group as a whole and what the team stands for.

Then at around 10am I took a call from my Mum to say that my beloved Papa had died. He was 80 and had been ill in hospital for a few months so it wasn’t a shock. With this being only my second day at KDS Group it could have led to an uncomfortable situation but Stevie Kidd being a master at reading people sensed that I had taken bad news and came straight up to me to ask if everything was okay. When I told him the news he told me to pack up my things and go straight to be with my family. The rest of the team were really supportive and Michelle even offered to take me to the hospital (thank you for that!) I think this just highlights the ‘team’ attitude within the company.

I have taken the time I needed today and am looking forward to the academy Open Day tomorrow.

Thanks again team for making a difficult situation as easy as possible for me.
