My Great Friend
I was absolutely thrilled to have my good friend Guy Wolstencroft visit the office this week. Guy is a phenomenal human being and a treasured friend.
Guy is a Triathlon competitor and is a very successful sportsperson. He recently represented team GB in the Eurostar Tri-City-Athlon – : the first ever triathlon event across three countries in one day, with a 1,500m swim in Paris, 40,000m bike in Brussels and 10,000m run in London. Rather than asking for funds to be donated to charity Guy asked for people to donate a pint of blood instead – he has set a target of 1030 pints being donated, this is a true testament to Guy’s character.
Asked about his time in Glasgow Guy said:
“Whenever I meet with Stevie I always feel like I have had an injection of adrenalin! After having dinner with him last night I just couldn’t sleep, I was so motivated and energised. I found myself just listening to Stevie and all he has to say. Coming into KDS and actually experiencing firsthand what I’ve been watching on blogs was absolutely great. Something that has really stuck out for me is the ‘handshake’, everyone greets you with a welcoming handshake and maintains eye contact – it’s so important. It’s the second time I’ve been in Glasgow this year and I’ll take away more great memories from his trip.”
