My first day as the new Execuitve/PA for Stevie Kidd
My first day at KDS Group was everything I had hoped it would be and more. Having had the pleasure of working with most of team in my previous role as a Fundraiser for Brake, the road safety charity I wasn’t quite as nervous as I might have been had I been starting somewhere that I didn’t know anyone. This organisation is just so different from any other and it takes you by surprise! When you come into the office everyone makes you feel truly welcome and you are greeted by everyone in the team with a handshake – this isn’t just a once off this is every morning and evening! This unique approach means that you feel part of a team from the minute you start.
Although I knew my day would be fast I really couldn’t have appreciated just how fast paced this organisation is! My day started with a meeting with Stevie and Michelle Sharpe a fellow new recruit! Stevie gave us an overview of KDS Group and what would be expected of us, he explained that we must forget how the organisation we had come from worked and come in everyday with an open and focussed mind. Another unique attribute is the amount of access you have to Stevie Kidd, as an extremely busy MD he makes time for you and invests a real interest in your induction and well being.
Communication is key throughout KDS Group and it seems to be what really makes the organisation different from others.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first day and am really looking forward to the coming weeks and months to see how my journey progresses!
