My Day at KDS by Mark McKirdy

Today I spent my second work placement here at KDS, and I enjoyed working with the Academy and with everyone in the office.
My day started off with my dad dropping me off at Stevie’s house for breakfast. I had breakfast which Stevie told me was the most important meal of the day, because it gives your body fuel and energy. He put a half-filled bottle of water in front of me, and told me that if you don’t eat breakfast, you won’t have enough fuel for the day.

When I got to KDS, I went into the Academy and showed my presentation to everyone .When I was doing my presentation, I was not nervous and afterwards, I felt fantastic. The Academy thought it was well-designed and excellent.

Then it was lunchtime. I wrote down everyone’s orders for KFC, and how much money I was given. I went to KFC with Sarahjane, and told the girl the order to take away. From there, I went to Tesco and bought batteries for the podcast. I put a battery in my pocket to check the size of the batteries in the shop. Then we went back to KFC, collected the lunch and brought ate it in the office.

After lunch, my dad collected me and took me out in his van for distribution. I gave the customers their medication at their homes with my dad, which we got from the pharmacy. My favourite part of this was getting filmed.

My favourite part today was meeting everybody, and putting my music on in the Academy as everyone was dancing. I enjoyed doing my presentation because I like talking in front of people.

I really enjoyed being at KDS and seeing everyone’s faces.
