Motivating Unemployed People within East Renfrewshire

Stevie Kidd delivered another of his inspirational and motivating sessions to a group of unemployed people within East Renfrewshire this morning.

This was part of Stevie's work with KDS Training. The group were at an Open Day with the hope of being accepted onto one of KDS Training's employability academies. Stevie is part of every Open Day and speaks to the group about his own challenges and the barriers that he faced including unemployment, family deaths through suicide and being insolvent 6 years ago.

The talk goes a long way to enforcing the point that everyone is responsible for their own destiny. When faced with a challenge it's about how we deal with it; do we look it straight in the eye and refuse to let it get the better of us or do we declare it just too big and not even try to overcome it. 

Stevie's delivery is never boastful or conceited it is simply a means of showing those that are at a low point in life that if he can do it, they can to!

The feedback from the audience was that Stevie is a really inspirational person and by him telling them about his own experiences it gives them the confidence and belief that they can achieve whatever they set their mind to.
