Moneymadeclear Comes To KDS

Today was another important day, this time not only for Lynsey and I, but for all the other winning Recruits and Stephen, who is pursuing Accounts as a career. This is because Ed from Moneymadeclear at RBS was invited to the KDS Group by Stevie to present to us on financing and the importance of budgeting.

This was the result of Stevie seizing an opportunity when he was on a visit to parliament. Whilst Stevie was presenting to third year students at a university, he realised that there was a need to prepare them for the world of work after education. He asked how many of them had been contacting employers, and how many had savings put by. Astonishingly, the vast majority answered no to both these questions. This meant that all these students, after spending years studying, were about to leave University with neither employment nor savings. Therefore, in parliament, Stevie used his strong connections with RBS to organise a day where Academy candidates can learn about money and how to manage it. His first response was that this would not be feasible.

However, one year later, RBS got back to Stevie for they realised the potential success of such a programme. Now, an essential component of the KDS Training Academies is for Ed to come in for the day and have confidential, individual meetings with candidates so that they can budget their finances. Furthermore, as all the winning Recruits are now in high paid jobs for our age group, Stevie seen that we should also be educated on these topics, so that we can plan for the future.

It is brilliant to see you all back in the offices today! Much more mature and in control of your future''s, it is great to see you all taking responsability for your financial futures so early in ure careers! K
