Mark McKirdy's Upcoming Work Experience

It is evident that Stevie is extremely enthusiastic about working with young people – I am a great example of this as I was employed by KDS through one of the youth projects which Stevie was involved in. Stevie ensures that he can offer such opportunities to a diverse range of people and on Friday Mark McKirdy will be coming into KDS for the day to take part in some work experience.
Mark is 16, and has Down’s syndrome. He has undertaken work experience here previously and everyone is delighted to be welcoming him back! As I have not yet met him, I am very much looking forward to Friday as Mark has been described as an intelligent, hard working and genuine person.
Of course, being with Stevie Kidd means that the day will not be an average work placement; it will be structured and filled with a variety of tasks which will involve each area of the KDS Group, alongside Stevie Kidd People. As a company, we are very proud to be able to offer young people from all walks of life an opportunity to come in and work with us. We would encourage other organisations to do the same to ensure that all types of young people have access to unique and valuable experiences like the one which Mark is being offered.
Throughout Mark’s day, we will be constantly filming clips and then uploading them to the site so that everyone share Mark’s glimpse into life at the KDS offices.
