Livingston Retail Academy - End of Week 1

The old adage, "Time flies when you're having fun" links into one of Stevie's favourite subjects of time distortion. Why is it that boring things take ages and fun times fly by?? Well this week has truly flown past and as Week 1 of the 4 week Retail Academy in Livingston, West Lothian came to an end, candidates were encouraged to stop and take time, to consider how much they'd learned and how much they've reminded themselves of. New skills, communication skills, realising their existing skill set, not taking themselves for granted, taking time to get things in perspective, setting goals, understanding their values and beliefs to name just a few!!!

Not only has there been much to take in, but much has moved on. Lindsey got called to go to interview today and with a new found belief in her skills, she got the job! A fantastic outcome!!! Candidates have all grown in stature, confidence, belief and Roger's final challenge was to go into the weekend doing something new, and HAVE FUN! TIme flies when you have fun, but take time to appreciate what you've got and it won't run away with you!

Things appear to be taking shape with regards to the group and their development - I have genuinely only heard really positive things about the content delivered so far and glowing comments about Roger too. They are a good group - there are some very employable individuals there and I am confident we can get them into employment.
