Lifelong Changes - Week 2

Last week we told you all about a new initiative Stevie has started, working with two individuals with multiple barriers.

When Stevie works with people the results are instant and we then build on the results week after week.

Martin was unable to attend last night’s session due to work commitments but he did send some feedback from last week’s session saying that he has probably had the best week in work for a very long time. We also got feedback from Martin’s wife saying that she had the best weekend ever due to the changes evident in Martin!

So this week Stevie would only be working with Liz and Stephen McDonald would be there providing technical support. Liz was ready for even more change, at the end of last week’s session Stevie had asked Liz to think about 12 things in her life she wanted to change so that we could use those as a starting point.

Liz was well prepared with the main changes she wanted to make based around her confidence and her family life. She feels that she shouts a lot at home and this is one thing that she wants to work on.

The session was high energy, high speed and high impact with Stevie going 100 miles per hour focussing on the areas Liz had highlighted. Stevie asked Liz to shout out power words and phrases to reinforce the positives in her life, this was uncomfortable at first but Liz soon got into it!

The usual approach that Stevie takes is a holistic one, this involves the family and asking them about the impact the changes are having on their lives as well as on the individual. We are working closely with the families and will be giving you their thoughts and feedback soon.

The session ended with Liz saying that throughout the week she is going to focus on healthy eating, getting more exercise and look into colleges courses as she is interested in health and beauty. We will support her with all of these goals.

To see for yourself how Liz is progressing, take a look at the clips below – definitely worth a few minutes of your time!
