41 Renfrewshire Academy Candidates graduate tomorrow and are now ready for work

Tomorrow 41 candidates will graduate from recent KDS Training Academies. The academies focus on not only the sector specific skills required for the workplace but also on building individuals confidence, self esteem and more importantly changing lives.

The academy models are the brainchild of the Group CEO, Stevie Kidd. Stevie himself was unemployed and insolvent 7 years ago – he now runs a multi-million pound organisation which consists of 2 companies with divisions in training and care. He now shares his unique approach and acts as a Business mentor and consultant, helping others to achieve ultimate success. This support stems down through our academies helping individuals to overcome barriers in life and achieve employment.

The course of programmes that the candidates will be graduating from are:

• A sector specific Construction Acadmey

• A sector specific Care Academy

• A non sector specific employability academy

• Two innovative Youth Employability Programmes

With the lastest figures showing that Scotland has the highest unemployment rate of the four countries in the United Kingdom, this event marks a mileston in the work that KDS Training do not only in its native Renfrewshire but also throughout the UK.

Stevie Kidd Group CEO said “Every night as I watch the news I am struck but the negativity around this subject. Whilst fully appreciating the severity I also know that there are solutions. My academies provide long term solutions for people who are keen to work. We also work with those that are further from the labour market and prepare them for the transition into working life. I have been unemployed so I know what it feels like and I know how to prepare people for work.”

Visit our website tomorrow for some more information on how our graduation event went....

These are entirely unique academies. I would certainly recommend them to anyone either looking for work or to those that might well have lost their way in the job market. I genuinely believe that the end result is an improved individual with a better chance of securing sustainable employment...equipped with new vocational skills and knowledge that employers are currently looking for. 10/10 from me!

Tomorrow is a day of celebrating all the changes the guys have made personally and realising there is no limitations to what you can achieve. Me myself the reason i love doing the job i do is to see the changes in people and having the Graduation days just brings it all together. I would just like to say congratulations to all involved in the Academies.
