Glasgow city Raising Awareness during world pipe championships

Has there been any reaction regarding the van

• On the road, other drivers/pedestrians

I stopped at Quarry wood Avenue to buy a can of juice & when I went back to the van three guys who were builders asked what kind of company I worked for.

I explained what I did for a living & that we had other road safety vans relating to speeding & drink driving etc. They said they thought I must have worked for the police or some sort of road safety company. I went on to say KDS Group hoped the vans images & stories would stick in the public’s mind & would help improve road safety.

I also spoke to two American men who were in Glasgow for the world pipe band championships; initially they stopped me to ask where they could find a hotel.

Then they asked me about the van & I told them it was a road safety van. They asked if it was an advertising van & I said no it was a van that tried to raise awareness by letting the public know of the carnage caused on the roads by mindless road users & was circulating along with other vans to help improve road safety. They added that in the states their vans only had company logos on them. And it was a fantastic idea and effort to be doing such a thing..........
