End of my first week as Stevie Kidd's PA/Executive

It is a really strange feeling because I feel like it has been such a fast week but at the same time I feel like I’ve never not worked at KDS!! I think the reason for it is that I’ve taken in SO much information this week.

Today was special because I got to attend a Graduation Ceremony for the recruits on the 22nd academy, it was a real treat to be involved and get to see the graduates as they embark on their journey into employment. The ceremony was held at Glasgow City Chambers, it was the first time I’d ever been into the building and I was a bit dumfounded as it really is stunning! It was also great as I got to travel with Stevie, he let me know that he feels like everything is going well (phew!) and took the time to give me a better insight into the factors that will make sure things work. It really is attention to detail and trying to think about things the way he would – not easy considering he works at about 100 times the speed of anyone else! And one of the reason he is so successful is that he sees opportunities that others don’t.

On the way back Stevie decided that the whole team should get together for lunch but Andrew had already beaten him to it! We all sat in the training room having lunch together which was really nice and Stevie even did the dishes!!! Not every day you see the MD of the company washing up the dishes! However he was rescued by Rav, Michelle and Kate after about 2 plates!

I have had a brilliant first week and am super excited about week 2 as the 23rd academy kicks off on Monday and I will have the chance to sit in on some of the sessions. I have a really clear vision of what is expected of me going into this week and have focussed on where I want to be this time next week. I am going to be off for a couple of days next week because it’s my Papa’s funeral and Stevie has agreed to let me have an extra day to help with arrangements.
