Electrifying in Edinburgh

Stevie has completed his session delivering on the KDS Training Academy Open Day in Edinburgh. This is the first ever training academy where KDS Training is working in partnership with one of the biggest employability contractors in the world - A4E.

As always Stevie delivered an impeccable and thought provoking session. However, he decided to take a bit of a different approach today, here KDS Trainer Kate Sutherland tells us about it;

“Stevie decided to start his presentation ‘incognito’ this morning! He did this by sitting in the audience so that the participants did not know who he was.

While sitting in the audience he overheard a candidate talking about his nervousness and apprehension and it was obvious from his behaviour that this was a hugely frightening experience from him and he was right out his comfort zone. Stevie worked with the whole room on
self-belief, goals, role models, self-talk, choices, feelings and emotions. Concentrating on feelings and emotions he worked closely with the candidate who was nervous, by the end of the session he was up telling the room about himself and shouting let's do this!

At interview sessions Stevie approached him and asked him if there were things happening inside, he replied yes. There was a huge difference in his posture, skin tone, confidence and vocal variety.
He confidently answered the questions, asked some of his own and is looking forward to starting on Monday!

Although I have seen Stevie evoke change in many people I never tire of seeing this in front of my eyes. It is truly remarkable! And by giving individuals back their self belief and confidence means that they can go on to achieve things that previously seemed unobtainable.”
