Day One as a KDS Academy Trainer

Each day within either of Stevie Kidd's businesses is different. The culture he's created is where employees are challenged to embrace change, working at 100mph and being open to new possibilities.

So this month I've been asked to sidestep from Business Development, and draw on my own training background and retail knowledge and use this within the unique Training Academy model. Today was Day One of a four week employability academy, taking 14 unemployed candidates out of their routine and point them towards full employment. If one thing is certain, is that its going to be a roller-coaster, a journey of emotions and transformation, realising strengths and development points - and that's just me as a Trainer!

Stevie has an inclusive approach, offering everyone the same opportunity to step aboard and change their lives. Regardless of background; social, economic, history or family situation, the key is the desire to move forward and the right attitude. After Stevie's sessions today each of the 14 candidates have taken a lot in and have begun a journey of change. I too am looking forward to seeing them evolve, grow and put into practice his strategies for change. This is genuinely life changing for those involved, and I'm anticipating some fantasic success stories to come.
