Aberdeen: Make a fresh start and wear a broad smile!
“A new beginning is something we need once in a while,
To make a fresh start, and wear a broad smile!”
It was a big day in Aberdeen today as KDS Training ran their first Positive Transition Academy in conjunction with Aberdeen Works! All of us have experienced those times when we knew it was time for something new and that was exactly how it was for the group that came together today! A small but very focused and determined group gave one hundred percent and showed a total commitment to moving forward in their lives to make that fresh start, have that new beginning and do it with a smile!
We had open and honest discussion, emotion evoking conversations and realisation that we had been making assumptions on the possible outcomes of situations which we might find ourselves in, we had all of this coupled with smiles and laughter throughout the day! There was a major light bulb moment as we worked with one candidate to realise the skills which she had to offer and for the first time in a long time she saw that she was more than able to achieve her goals and also more than able to impress others with her skills set!
A tight knit, open-minded and hungry for change team formed in Aberdeen today and their journey will be fantastic to watch! Keep reading the blogs and following them on KDS Training Facebook page to see where the Academy Journey takes them!
