A Capital Start!
KDS Training, in partnership with A4E in Edinburgh has just delivered an employability and motivational Academy to 12 candidates that completed today. The successes are as individual as the candidates who attended and in each person there was progress to be seen. With radical changes in appearance from some, others saw changes in the way they approached their job search, their motivation and confidence in themselves, especially at interview.
This has been the beginning of a crucial part of employability in the Capital. With A4E identifying candidates who need that extra launch pad to take their job search to a better place and begin to make the changes to their approach to securing and maintaining employment, and KDS step in to deliver the training, it’s a partnership well formed.
The course content included elements of Life Coaching, focussed upon the Attitudes and Behaviours required to be positive and goal orientated; one key message was also to take control and responsibility of all areas of life. Everyone learned something new at Interview Skills and realised people are valuable & beliefs can shape us, as we looked at Equality & Diversity.
To build up their motivation levels further, this group were invited personally by KDS Group CEO, Stevie Kidd, to attend a graduation event to celebrate employment resulting from other Academies KDS recently completed. The surprise being that this included the Edinburgh Motivational Academy group as one into the celebration of success at completing their own course. Smiles, applause and photo’s made this day memorable.
Now equipped with more tools with which to make the change in their lives & the aftercare process of additional Employer-led support in place, the future is very much in the hands of this group!
