26th Unemployment Academy
Tomorrow marks the open day for the 26th academy to be run in KDS offices working with unemployed individuals and supporting them back into employment.
These academies not only provide candidates with the core practical skills required for employment but also look at the behavioural skills needed. I provide 2 full day coaching sessions on each academy and really get the cadidates to look at the reasons for their unemployment and the barriers that are holding them back. Once this has been established I can start to prepare them mentally for employment, how it feels to have a routine for getting up and getting out to work in the mornings, how it feels to get you first salary, what you can do differently because you have a stable income etc.
This model works exceptionally well and we have a highly respectable retention rate for putting people back into employment and keeping them there!
We will be monitoring their progress from the Open Day through to graduation so keep checking this website and my facebook and twitter pages for information!
