THE NEW YOU STARTING TOMORROW IN FEBRUARY

The New You

List the seven qualities you most admire in other people (friends, family, celebrities, role models. people you have never even met or met once but they impressed you)

Now think of yourself and the qualities you would like to be known for. Think of a ‘dinner party’ where you are being discussed. What would you like to hear?

Write a mission statement:

? The person I am choosing to be from this day on is…

Insert qualities or a role model whom you aspire to be like.

? The qualities I most admire and want for myself are …

Add…”I will now re-enforce these qualities in me and will act in the way that I believe……………….. (Person named above) would act in any given situation.

Sign the statement.

The Future

From now on your behaviour choices and decisions should always fit this description of yourself.

When faced with a choice or decision ask:” what is the answer given the person I am now?

Assignment

At the end of 7 days, list 5 examples of where the new you manifested itself during the week.

paths in life-which one you choose

Hi Stevie, This was in a talk i done at church last Sunday i thought it would interested u. In Lewis Carroll's classic, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Alice finds herself coming to a crossroads with two path's before her, each stretching onward directions. She is confronted by a Cheshire Cat, of whom Alice asks, Which path shall i take?
The cat answers, That depends where you want to go. If you do not know where you to go, it doesn't really matter which path you take."
Unlike Alice, each of us knows where he or she wants to go. It does matter which way we go, for the path we follow in this life surely leads to path we shall follow in the next.
Patience may be required as we watch, wait, and work for a promised blessing to be fulfilled.

All The Best

Comfort zone

THE COMFORT ZONE

I used to have a comfort zone
Where I though I could not fail
Same four walls and busy work
Were really more like jail

I longed so much to do the things
I had never done before
But I stayed inside my comfort zone
And paced the same old floor

I said it didn’t matter
That I wasn’t doing much
I said I didn’t care for things
Like diamonds fur and such

I claimed to be so busy
With the things inside my zone
But deep inside I longed
For something special of my own

I could not let my life go by
Just watching others win
I held my breath and stepped outside
And let change begin

I took a step and with new strength
I had never felt before
I kissed my comfort zone good bye
Closed and locked the door

If you are in a comfort zone
Afraid to venture out
Remember all the winners were
At one time filled with doubt

Step out my friend and you will see
Like those who have gone before
Once you are out, your wings will sprout
And like the eagle, you will soar!

BREAKING OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE – DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Start small and do something different every day. List what you will do differently tomorrow...and the next day...and the next.....

1. Here are some examples to generate ideas:
2. Make a call
3. Catch up with an old friend
4. Buy something new
5. Plan something for next week-end
6. Order a different beer
7. E-mailing some-one/colleague to catch up
8. Take a different route home
9. Speak to some-one you would not normally speak to
10. Ask for a meeting with ..........
11. Buy a different paper
12. Make a different choice for lunch
13. Order a different wine
14. Go out for a run rather than watch the TV

How many of you will reveiw January

Hi All

as I refelct on my 460 in my awakening state out of a possible 552 hours which we had in January, I reflect for probably my first time on have I done justice with January 2010. When the new year came in and  I refuse to set a new year resolution as I believe you should look at your life everyday and make resolutions everyday to improve your quality of life not once a year. as Dr Bandler says reach in to every fibre of your soul and make this happen.again if today was the last day on earth would you want this morning to start again, its 10am I have been awake since 6am, I have self developed, took inspiration from Andy Murray success as he is in a final, whether he wins it or not, look at decions he has made in his life to get to that level, but when I watch him playing tennis he is playing it to a set of rules, so adapt sports philophosy to life rules, which then I look at wheel of life, have we got that right, did he have this right to get to the level he is at now, he must have and thats not assumption, in Andys hours he was awake he would be able to breakdown his full month a bit like I could, can you! if you cannot why is that, are you sitting ecstatic just now with happiness in looking back at january or do you not even understand what I am talking about, are you saying its just another month or day, hes lost the plot, or are you looking and saying this will not happen in february as tomorrow is start of new month FEBRUARY 2010.....................

SO as the bells came in to end of January I have 596 hours in a awakening state  in January, did I receive all I set out to do, absolutley, why, becuase ONE REASON within myself I used kept me focused and motivated to do so.

A lot has happened in my life and business world in January, one area I have noticed is feelings can get you to lose focus , so when activity happens where your feeling change this can change the way to you talk to yourself. My light within lights up very brightly and is strong, so no matter what happens I have been able to stay strong and on focus for what I set to do.

Have you looked at month and achieved all your goals, from stopping smoking, being more happy with who you are, losing weight, getting that job, improving your relationship with family, aiming for success, supporting love ones, being more considerate, self development..................................... what ever it was did you achieve what you set out to do or do you let each day simply pass you by............

I savour every second and every minute of every day my goal is to max out of life, yes its hard work not easy but when you dig in and stay focused you achieve all you want in life, example, if you are unemployed and all you are doing is looking for a job when you sign on then the chances of you working is slim, when I was unemployed I would be out the house 8 hours, going to job centre, colleges and libraries then on computer each night thats why I was only unemployed for 3 months, my strategy was right,

its the same as month of January ask yourself did I max out January, if answer is no, then revisit it and do not let same scenario to come in February 2010,

LIFE IS TOO SHORT, I MEASURE EVALUATE AND IMPROVE IN MY LIFE THREE TIMES A DAY AND AT END OF DAY I SPENT 60 SECONDS SAYING WITH MY SON WHAT IS THREE THINGS IN LIFE I LEARNED AND IMPROVED ON TODAY AND WHAT WAS ONE PAIN I NEED TO LEARN FROM.........

Please max out February in all areas,

Stevie Kidd

KDS Road safety report

Driver: ALAN DUNN
Route: route 10

Vehicle: MF09 FEV Story: REBEKKA

Has there been any reaction regarding the van from anyone either;

• In the Pharmacies – There’s been no reaction this week, probably because i am in the loading bay & haven’t met any of the pharmacy staff there this week.

• In the nursing homes - Outside Ailsa Craig the other evening i spoke to a gent who had been visiting a relative, he asked what kind of company I worked for. I explained that i worked for a distribution company that delivered pharmaceutical products as well as other products. The gent said he was very impressed with the fact that a distribution company (with white vans) was doing its bit to promote road safety as he used to be a van driver & he knew from past experiences that van drivers always had a bad name for their driving skills mainly due to a minority that would drive as though they owned the roads. I told the gent about our other road safety vans & that they had different messages on each side. The gent said the wraps on each side of my van had certainly got his attention & he hoped that the messages would be implanted into the minds of other road users who abuse their positions behind the wheel.

• On the road, other drivers/pedestrians – I was parked outside a bakers shop at lunchtime the other day when i spoke to two female home carers. They asked about the van & i showed them the wraps on each side. The women said it saddened them that the Rebekka story was true life. One of the carers said she was just taking driving lessons at the moment & she said that the thought of her causing a death on the road would be unbearable & it would put her off learning to drive. I explained to her that most drivers on the road were safe as long as they learned about road safety & kept to the speed limits etc. The women said they enjoyed chatting to me & I gave the two of them each a leaflet.

• In the workplace - After Phil joined me at store we discussed the road safety van. I asked Phil what he thought about driving the road safety van. Phil explained to me that it would upset a member of his family. It reminded me of the first time i had the Ben & Aaron van. I was a bit unsure of taking it home as my wife’s nephew had been killed outside his house In Crookston Road 2005 (aged 11) by a van driver & i thought it would bring back some painful memories. I spoke to my wife about the van & she reassured me that any road safety messages that raised awareness was good & she didn’t mind the van being parked outside our house.

How would you say the reaction has been?
• Positive – Always a positive reaction.
• Negative-
• Indifferent –
• Has there been any particular reaction that you remember, if so could you describe it- The reaction of one of the home care workers, she was genuinely unsure about continuing her driving lessons as she said she could never forgive or live with herself if she ever caused a fatality due to her driving. I reassured her as best as i could.

.
Is there any way you can market the road safety vehicle?
E.G. Could you park outside a TV station, Radio, news paper offices for 5 – 10 Minuets s to have a cup of tea / Coffee? I think it would be a good idea to have the road safety vans parked for an afternoon possibly in a supermarket car park with kds drivers handing out road safety leaflets. This could be done on a Sunday as a lot of families go out shopping together. We could get a few of the vans together with the drivers giving some spare time to answer questions.
